Dear Parents,
We are excited to get started with all of our students. There have been some changes made this year regarding dismissal, drop off in the mornings, walk the halls for A.R.,Thursday folders, and visiting the school.
Dismissal for all students is at 3:30 each day. This year we are going to move our bus loading after school to the North side of the school on Prairie Street. Grades 4-6 will be dismissed out the back of the school on Prairie Street. Grades PreK-3 will be dismissed out the front of the school. If there are siblings in grades 4-6, they will pick up their younger sibling and exit out of the back of the school on Prairie Street. If your child is picked up at the front of the school through the circle drive, parking lot, or if you walk to the front doors a classroom teacher from your child’s grade level will be outside. All you will need to do is let the teacher know who you are picking up, and they will be called over the radio to be dismissed. If you are in the circle drive, please refrain from getting out of your car or parking as we will help load your child/children. The intention of changing dismissal is to ensure the safety of all students.
In the mornings as noted in the student handbook the only doors students will be able to enter before the bell rings will be the cafeteria doors. All other doors will remain locked. Doors to the cafeteria will open at 7:20 am. Breakfast will begin at 7:30 am. If you are dropping your child/children off in the circle drive, please do not park as this will hold up traffic. If you would like to get out of your car, please park in the parking lot near the football field to escort them into the school.
This year walk the halls for A.R. will be on Fridays’ at 8:00 am. We invite all parents to attend when their child is being honored to walk the hall.
Thursday folders will be something new to Cimarron Elementary this year. All important information such as Rec League sign ups, important notes from the school, A.R. certification, etc. will be sent home in a Thursday folder. Thursday folders will allow our teachers/school staff to receive signed notes (if needed) to be returned on Friday rather than waiting over the weekend!
Lastly, I would like to cover visiting the school. We love to have visitors/parents visit our school and be involved in their child’s education. It is essential for all visitors’ to check in at the front office first.

Estamos emocionados de comenzar con todos nuestros estudiantes. Se han realizado algunos cambios este año con respecto a la salida, entrada en las mañanas, caminar por los pasillos para A.R., carpetas de los jueves y las visitas a la escuela.
La salida para todos los estudiantes es a las 3:30 todos los días. Este año vamos a subir a los estudiantes a los camiones después de la escuela por el Norte de la escuela en la calle Prairie. Los grados 4 á 6 saldrán por la parte de atrás de la escuela. Los grados PreK á 3 saldrán por el frente de la escuela. Si hay hermanos en los grados 4-6, ellos recogerán a su hermano menor y saldrán por la parte de atrás de la escuela. Si recogen a su hijo en el frente de la escuela a través de la entrada circular, el estacionamiento, o si camina hacia la puerta principal, un maestro del grado de su hijo estará afuera. Todo lo que necesita hacer es informar al maestro a quién va a recoger, y lo llamarán por radio para que se pueda ir. Si está en la entrada circular, por favor absténgase de salir de su automóvil o estacionarse, ya que le ayudaremos a subir a su hijo/a. La intención de cambiar la salida es garantizar la seguridad de todos los estudiantes.
Por las mañanas, como se indica en el manual del estudiante, las únicas puertas por las que los estudiantes podrán entrar antes de que suene la campana serán las puertas de la cafetería. Todas las demás puertas permanecerán cerradas. Las puertas de la cafetería se abrirán a las 7:20 am. El desayuno comenzará a las 7:30 am. Si va a dejar a su hijo/a en la entrada circular, no se estacione, ya que esto retendrá el tráfico. Si desea salir de su automóvil, estacionese en el estacionamiento cerca del campo de fútbol para acompañarlos a la escuela.
Este año el caminar por los pasillos por A.R. será los viernes a las 8:00 am. Invitamos a todos los padres a asistir cuando su hijo tenga el honor de caminar por el pasillo.
Las carpetas de los jueves serán algo nuevo para Cimarron Elementary este año. Toda la información importante, como registros de Rec League, notas importantes de la escuela, la
certificación de A.R., etc. se enviará a casa en una carpeta los jueves. Las carpetas de los jueves permitirán a nuestros maestros/personal escolar recibir notas firmadas (si es necesario) para devolverlas el viernes en lugar de esperar durante el fin de semana.
Por último, me gustaría cubrir la visita a la escuela. Nos encanta que los visitantes/ padres visiten nuestra escuela y participen en la educación de sus hijos. Es esencial que todos los visitantes se registren primero en la oficina principal.
